Truths Of Life To Be Aware Of By 25 Years Of Age.
Essential for meaningful and fulfilling lives.

The first thing you would want to know is about the title of this article. Why have I chosen it as the truths of life by 25 years of age? It could have been 20, 30 or even 40 years.
Let us go a few millennium back; to the ancient times, where life in India was considered to be divided into four stages-
1) Student stage —
In the olden days a person was supposed to leave his house and stay with his Guru to attain spiritual and practical knowledge. The duty of the student was to learn the skills of life and serve his Guru. During this period, he was prepared for his future profession as well family, social and religious life that lay ahead. This stage lasted till 25 years of age.
2) Householder stage —
This stage lasted till 50 years of a person’s life, till the time a person’s skin had wrinkles and his hair turned grey.
3) The last two stages namely the hermit and the ascetic stages constituted the remaining life.In the hermit stage a person used to leave for the forest and taught dharma to those who came to him. In the ascetic stage the person renounced everything and was totally devoted to God.Totally devoid of all attachments, he was virtually merged with God, to be released from the cycle of life and death.
Times have completely changed now. The first two stages of life are still followed, but in this modern world the last two stages of ancient life are completely ignored.
Now too the student life is over by the age of 25 years and our parents and teachers impart us the worldly knowledge.
There are few things or the truths that you should be aware of, after completing your student days. This will make you much happier. Many of these truths apply to later stages in life too, but with the passage of time people gain wisdom after a number of failures.
1) People are selfish –
In this world everyone thinks about himself. People won’t put your needs first; will not be considerate and look after their self-interests. Many of them have no regards for others and love to play victims, looking to gain sympathy.
You need to accept them for the way they are or you will get frustrated and annoyed with their behavior. Don’t talk about what interests them; rather talk about what interests you. Stop doing everything they expect you to do.
In case you can’t get along, just avoid them.
2) You can’t please everyone –
The nature of humanity is to talk. People will always talk, no matter what you decide to do.Some will talk behind your back, while the others would make fun of you on your face.
You will not be able to please everyone and shouldn’t even try to please everyone all the time.If you begin to live your life according to the standards set by other people, you will lose all sense of happiness and enthusiasm.
People tend to enjoy saying things that hurt others. Don’t allow them to impact your hopes and dreams. Never ever give up on your hopes and dreams to make others happy. They are frightened by things that they don’t understand.
Not everyone is going to understand your dreams. Since your journey is unique, you can’t expect everyone to understand your dreams. In this case you will lose your sense of identity trying to please others.
